Common questions
Will the floats stay buoyant if the outer skin is punctured?
Yes. They are molded from closed-cell EVA/PVC foam, so they will not absorb water or sink even when the outer shell is damaged — unlike hollow floats. Buoyancy ratings run from 5 lbs to 80 lbs.
What colors, shapes, and sizes are available?
Standard high-visibility colors are orange, yellow, red, and white, in diameters from 6" to 24" and round, egg, and cylindrical shapes. The UV-stabilized pigments are fade-resistant, and custom colors are available.
Can you add custom branding or numbering to the buoys?
Yes — we offer custom colors, printed or embossed branding, and numbering for fishery identification and marine marking. Each float has a through-hole center for easy rigging to your lines.
Are the floats suitable for cold-water fisheries?
They operate across a –30 °C to 70 °C (–22 °F to 158 °F) range and are available in high-visibility colors with fishery-specific marking configured for the buyer's jurisdiction.
What is the minimum order for floats and buoys?
Standard floats are ordered by the carton and consolidate easily toward container volume given their light weight. Custom-color or branded OEM runs typically start at around 500 units per specification.
How long does production take?
Standard floats and buoys generally ship within 30–45 days of deposit. Custom-color, custom-size, or branded programs add a short sampling stage, usually completing in 45–60 days for the first order.
