Are your shackles individually proof-tested and marked?
Yes. Each shackle is individually proof-tested and permanently marked with its working load limit, manufactured to US Fed Spec RR-C-271 and EN 13889. WLLs range from 0.33 to 55 tons.
What shackle types and pin options do you offer?
Bow (omega), dee (D-type), and wide-body shackles from 3/16" to 2" pin diameter, with screw-pin or bolt/nut/cotter pin options for permanent installations. We match the type to your rigging or mooring need.
Which finish is best for permanent saltwater rigging?
Hot-dip galvanized drop-forged alloy steel is the standard; electro-galvanized is offered for lighter duty, and 316 stainless for permanent immersion and appearance. All are drop-forged for strength.
