[ 03 ] FAQ

Common questions

What grades of marine chain do you manufacture?

Grade 30 (proof coil) and Grade 43 (high-test) carbon steel, in short-link (BBB), high-test, and proof-coil configurations from 3/16" to 1" diameter, for anchor rode, mooring, towing, and general marine use.

Is the chain calibrated for windlass use?

Yes — calibrated chain is available for windlass and gypsy compatibility, with working load limits stamped on the links. Tell us your windlass model and we confirm the correct pitch and gauge.

How is the chain protected against corrosion?

All chain is hot-dip galvanized after fabrication for a uniform, durable coating in saltwater service, manufactured to ASTM A413 and NACM specifications with the WLL stamped on each length.

Do you offer cut-to-length and bulk packaging?

Yes — we provide cut-to-length service and ship in pails, drums, or bulk reels to suit your handling. Specify lengths and packaging and we quote accordingly.

What is the minimum order for marine chain?

Chain is quoted by length or weight and consolidates easily toward container volume in drums or reels. Custom calibration, grades, or private branding generally start at around 500 units or an agreed tonnage.

What is the production lead time for chain?

Standard galvanized chain typically ships 30–45 days after deposit. Calibrated, special-grade, or branded orders add a sampling step and usually complete in 45–60 days for the first order.
